Method for audio-compression

Technica Del Arte has developed a compression method especially for digital multitrack recorders that requires so little computing power that it is possible to compress and decompress 16 channels at the same time with a constant factor of 4 (assuming a 24-bit source) using 1 DSP (60 MHz). The constant compression factor guarantees exceptional random access while still giving excellent compression quality.
For companies that are considering purchasing a licence, a hard disk recorder has been developed as an IO module for a digital mixer, so that it can be tested as a demo.
