The mobile device is connected to the internet via a 4G connection and our studio (Z\/IP One) is connected to the internet via our local router. To be able to establish this communication we will need to set up the different devices: LUCI LIVE will have to know where to send, the router will need to know how to transfer the communication coming from LUCI LIVE and the Z\/IP One will need to accept this communication.<\/p>\n<h6>Configuring LUCI LIVE \/ LUCI LIVE Lite<\/h6>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/technicadelarte.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/station_new-1.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-1324\" src=\"https:\/\/technicadelarte.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/station_new-1.png\" width=\"300\" height=\"516\" \/><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/technicadelarte.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/LLL-add-studio.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-7442\" src=\"https:\/\/technicadelarte.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/LLL-add-studio.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"477\" srcset=\"https:\/\/technicadelarte.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/LLL-add-studio.png 451w, https:\/\/technicadelarte.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/LLL-add-studio-251x300.png 251w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 400px) 85vw, 400px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h6><\/h6>\n<p>In this example we will use the G.722 protocol which is present in both LUCI versions, LUCI LIVE and LUCI LIVE Lite.<br \/>\nYou will need to create a new station, for more details on the adding stations please consult our online manual.<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #007bff;\">Name<\/span>: name your station, this is just an indication.<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #007bff;\">Protocol<\/span>: RTP<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #007bff;\">Codec<\/span>: G.722<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #007bff;\">Bitrate<\/span>: 64 kbps<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #007bff;\">Jitter buffer<\/span>: 100 ms<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #007bff;\">Destination<\/span>: In our example this should be 82.161.163.12:5010 so the the public destination address of your router followed by the port number which is used for port forwarding.<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #007bff;\">Channels<\/span>: Mono<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #007bff;\">Bit depth<\/span>: 16 bit<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #007bff;\">Sample rate<\/span>: 48.000 Hz<\/p>\n<h6>Configuring the Router (port forwarding)<\/h6>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/technicadelarte.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/forward.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-2191\" src=\"https:\/\/technicadelarte.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/forward.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"621\" height=\"115\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nRegardless of what software is on your router, you\u2019ll be required to enter the same type of information. First, you\u2019ll see a text field where you can type in the name of the application or service. Next, you\u2019ll see which incoming port your router should watch for. In our example 5010. Then, you\u2019ll be able to choose which protocol to watch for. It has to be set to UDP.<br \/>\nYou\u2019ll need to choose which IP address is the destination for this port\u2019s requests. This is the local IP address of the Z\/IP One (example 192.168.1.100). Lastly, you\u2019ll be able to choose which port the request should be targeted to on the destination IP (same as the incoming port 5010).<br \/>\nEvery router has it&#8217;s own user interface where the port forwarding can be set-up, this depends on the manufacturer.<br \/>\nHow to configure this on your router depends on the model, but here you can find <a href=\"https:\/\/portforward.com\/router.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">examples<\/a> for most routers.<\/p>\n<h6>Configuring Telos Z\/IP One<\/h6>\n<p>You will access the Status page of your Z\/IP One via the web browser by filling in the IP of the Z\/IP One in the menu bar. In our example this address will be 192.168.1.100. from the status page you can access the Network Settings.<br \/>\nTo access the Network settings you will be prompted to fill in an User name and password. For default type &#8216;user&#8217; for the user name and the password can be left unfilled.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/technicadelarte.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Telos-WAN-interface-1.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-2199\" src=\"https:\/\/technicadelarte.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Telos-WAN-interface-1.png\" width=\"500\" height=\"184\" \/><\/a>Make sure the DHCP is <strong>disabled<\/strong> in the WAN Interface.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/technicadelarte.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Telos-RTP-Push-Configuration.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-2207 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/technicadelarte.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Telos-RTP-Push-Configuration.png\" width=\"500\" height=\"205\" \/><\/a>The port number has to be set for the incoming and outgoing RTP stream. In our example the <strong>receive-only<\/strong> port is set to 5009. The Z\/IP one will decode automatically any incoming stream coming via this port. But as we want the Z\/IP one to <strong>reply<\/strong> with G722 we will use port 5010 (this is always 1 more than the base port 5009 in this case). So we enable the reply port for G722 which will provide the correct returning communication to the LUCI LIVE Lite application.
