Besides the Standard Android name of the device we also show the Product Device name in brackets.<\/p>\n<p>Choosing the <span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">Automatic<\/span> setting will let Android decide which Audio Input or Output will be used, as in previous versions. For most situations this is a sufficient setting and will switch from internal to plugged in devices automatically upon inserting external device(s).<\/p>\n<p>On some occasions when your preference differs from Androids choice you can select the device you prefer.<\/p>\n<p>If the selected device is later-on unplugged, the setting will fallback to Automatic, selecting it again on insertion.<\/p>\n<h6>Stereo<\/h6>\n<p>Another feature that we can support is stereo input for those Android devices that have 2 internal microphones, mostly one on the bottom and one on top (so when you hold the device in landscape position the top is the left microphone and the bottom the right microphone). Stereo mode will <span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>always <\/strong><\/span>use the <span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>internal<\/strong> <\/span>microphones and can be selected by selecting Stereo in the Stations Profile:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/technicadelarte.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/stereo.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-3858 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/technicadelarte.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/stereo-300x131.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"131\" srcset=\"https:\/\/technicadelarte.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/stereo-300x131.png 300w, https:\/\/technicadelarte.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/stereo-768x335.png 768w, https:\/\/technicadelarte.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/stereo.png 1008w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 85vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">*<\/span>Note: <span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">AAudio<\/span> support is only available on devices with Android 9 ( PIE ) and later.<\/em><\/p>\n<h6>Legacy Audio Driver<\/h6>\n<p>For devices that do not support AAudio or if your want to use the Legacy Audio driver you can switch this on.<a href=\"https:\/\/technicadelarte.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/LL-audio-leg.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-8219 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/technicadelarte.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/LL-audio-leg.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"422\" srcset=\"https:\/\/technicadelarte.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/LL-audio-leg.png 1080w, https:\/\/technicadelarte.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/LL-audio-leg-142x300.png 142w, https:\/\/technicadelarte.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/LL-audio-leg-485x1024.png 485w, https:\/\/technicadelarte.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/LL-audio-leg-768x1621.png 768w, https:\/\/technicadelarte.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/LL-audio-leg-728x1536.png 728w, https:\/\/technicadelarte.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/LL-audio-leg-970x2048.png 970w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 200px) 85vw, 200px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #007bff;\">Android Legacy Audio Mode<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">*<\/span><\/span><br \/>\nWhen selected the old legacy audio driver is used.<br \/>\nWhen not selected the AAudio driver is used, and the <em>Choose Audio IO selection<\/em> will take over the next 2 options:<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #007bff;\">Audio input preset<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">*<\/span><\/span><br \/>\nAndroid system have input presets for selection of the audio input processing, when your device has a separate camera microphone you can selected it here as \u2018Camcorder\u2019 preset.<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">Audio output preset<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">*<\/span><\/span><br \/>\nSome Android phones have separate media and voice call speakers, although the &#8216;media&#8217; speaker has probably a better sound you could choose the &#8216;voice&#8217; ear speaker.<\/p>\n<p><em>Note<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">*<\/span> : On newer devices (Android 9 ( PIE ) and later) by default the AAudio driver is used giving smaller latencies. If you experience some compatibility problems you can choose to use the legacy audio drivers instead.
